既存のCognate株主のEW Healthcare Partnersとその共同投資家らがMedivate Partnersの参加を得て、Cognateへの投資とこの買収の資金調達を主導した。

プラスミドDNA、ウイルスベクター、タンパク質、微生物相の開発から充填・仕上げまでのCobraの専門知識が加わり、Cognateは世界中の細胞・遺伝子免疫療法と再生医療業界に医薬品開発・製造ソリューションを提供する業界の国際的主要事業者としての体制が整う。

Cobra Biologicsはスウェーデンと英国に適正製造基準（cGMP）施設を持つ。Cognateは米テネシー州メンフィスにある8万平方フィートの製造施設とボルティモアの開発専用施設を運用している。

today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Cobra Biologics,

a leading CDMO specialized in providing development and manufacturing services

for plasmid DNA and viral vector.

Existing Cognate shareholder, EW Healthcare Partners and its co-investors led

the investment in Cognate and the financing for the acquisition of Cobra, with

participation from Medivate Partners.
