On November 2, the "2026 Dialogue on Happy and Livable Cities & Business-Friendly Dialogue on Entrepreneurs' Sense of Happiness", hosted by Oriental Outlook  magazine, took place in Fuzhou, the capital city of Fujian Province. As an integral part of the thematic series marking the 13th World Cities Day, the event established a platform of idea exchange on city-enterprise joint growth in building happy cities.

The event featured a session of "Cities of the Year: A Tribute to Entrepreneurs' Sense of Happiness 2026". Relying on the Entrepreneurs' Sense of Happiness Index Model developed by Oriental Outlook , and combining big data research with field visits, the annual investigation results paid tribute to a group of cities that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in urban renewal and business environment optimization.

Zheng Erfeng, General Manager of Gangrong Group, stated that the group is accelerating its strategic expansion from traditional residential development toward integrated urban value operations. By integrating natural ecology into high-rise residential construction, the group balances living experience enhancements with urban green space additions within limited construction land, while bridging regional gaps in public service through early-stage co-building and sharing of urban amenities.

Chen Naming, Administrative Director of Guanrong Real Estate, noted that urban renewal at the county level must not blindly copy the high-turnover model of traditional residential development. Instead, it is crucial to pinpoint the equilibrium between commercial space development and public welfare amenity construction, respecting the existing urban fabric to achieve all-win outcomes for the government, residents, and enterprises through micro-renovations and meticulous upgrades. These on-the-ground market explorations serve as a vivid illustration of how cities and enterprises achieve mutual success, offering valuable references for constructing happy and livable cities.
