◎VWRがKLENを買収　豪西部に戦略拠点構築

【ラドナー（米ペンシルベニア州）2012年9月10日PRN＝共同JBN】実験室用品とサービスの販売で世界をリードするVWR International, LLCは10日、KLEN Internationalの採鉱品供給部門を買収したと発表した。

オーストラリアのパースで1974年に創業したKLENは、広範囲に及ぶ製品を法人顧客に提供している多角経営の化学メーカー兼販売業者である。VWRは貴金属採鉱業界向けの実験室が使用する製品の製造販売部門を取得する。

VWRで戦略・経営企画を担当するテッド・パルコウニク上級副社長は「戦略的な西オーストラリアに立地するKLENの買収は、米国、カナダ、チリにあるVWRの世界的な鉱業サプライネットワークを増強する。既存の製造販売ネットワークとKLENの結合により、われわれは極めて効果的に世界の鉱業顧客のニーズ拡大に応えることができる」と語った。

    - VWR strengthens position in mining lab supplies through strategic KLEN

acquisition

and services, announced today the acquisition of KLEN International's mining

supply business.

    Based in Perth, Australia and dating back to 1974, KLEN is a diversified

chemical manufacturer and distributor with businesses that provide a wide range

of products to industrial customers. VWR is acquiring the portion of the

business that manufactures and distributes products used by labs that serve the

precious metals mining industry.
