Following up on last year's presentation "The Missing Piece of the Profit
Economy," Dr. Allis will discuss how to move beyond the "Big Data" headline to
achieve real business value with "Big Calculations" in his presentation,
"Calculated Decisions: The key to solving the efficiency puzzle." The
presentation will offer a perspective and roadmap for increasing speed,
efficiency, and competitiveness by activating data; it will take place on
Tuesday, May 20 at 11:15 a.m. MT in the Grand Canyon 8 ballroom. Following the
presentation, Dr. Allis will be available for one-on-one discussions.
"The biggest 'Big Data' myth is that it is all about the data," said Dr. Allis.
"Big Calculations unlock the value of data and enable a company to optimize. I
look forward to sharing our views on the 'data value spectrum,' and I will
reveal the steps to activate the potential of data as well as discuss our
customers' experiences."
The Gartner Supply Chain Executive Conference, May 20-22, is a gathering of the
top innovative supply chain executives to discuss the state of the industry and
share the tools and strategies for the future. Quintiq has been recognized by
Gartner as a leader in the March 6, 2014 Magic Quadrant for Supply Chain
Planning System of Record. The company is also a premier sponsor of this year's
event, and experts will be available at booth 110 to discuss supply chain
challenges in detail and demonstrate the efficacy of the Quintiq software
platform.
