◎GEPの米国パートナーに　　パデュー大学

【エキュリ（フランス）１６日PRN＝共同JBN】パデュー大学クラナート経営学部は、フランスのEMリヨン・ビジネススクール、中国の浙江大学と並んで、世界起業家精神課程（GEP）の米国パートナーになった。パデューは米国で最も尊敬されている学術機関の１つであり、外国の学生にとって最も魅力的な大学の１つである。

２００８年に開始されたGEPは起業家精神を専門とする初めての修士課程である。１２カ月のコースは起業家のリーダー、経営者にますますグローバル化する市場で活動するためのツール、知識、ネットワーク、考え方を提供するように設定されている。パトリス・フデヤー大学院課程副学長は「経済不確実性のこの時期に企業が最も必要とするのはこのような個人だ。この課程は根本的に異なる３つの起業環境－北米、欧州、アジア－を理解し、協力し、異文化体験を共有する機会を与える」と語っている。

６大陸の各国から３校が募集した学生たちはEMリヨンのキャンパスで課程を始め、ゼロから起業を立ち上げることと欧州のビジネスへのアプローチについての知識を学ぶ。１月に中国に向かい、ファミリー・ビジネスに集中する。最後の部分は米インディアナ州のパデュー大学キャンパスで行われ、企業を高度成長させるものは何かについての試験がある。また学生たちはグローバルなレベルでチームワークを強化するために、他国の学生とともに１学期間にわたる地元企業のためのコンサルティング・プロジェクトに取り組む。

２０１１年の卒業生でスタートアップ企業の創立に成功したダシャ・リュールコビッチ氏は「GEPの課程は周囲のものに対する見方や、異なる市場－途上国、先進国、成熟市場－に対する評価を変えるが、他人に対する見方も変える。それは自らの野心と夢への跳躍台なのだ」と指摘している。

パデュー大学クラナート経営学部長で、ジェームス・ブルック・ヘンダーソン経営学教授のP・クリストファー・アーリー氏は「パデュー大学が世界起業家精神課程コンソーシアムに加わるのは光栄だ。パデューは分析的思想家と世界的リーダーを生み出したことを誇りにしており、技術革新、エンジニアリング、科学についての経営学教育のアプローチはパートナー機関を完全に補完するものである。この課程を終える学生は教室において、また経験を積むための学習機会を通じて磨かれた起業家精神の大きな基礎と先端的技術革新を通じた起業家精神を身につけているだろう」と述べている。

Purdue Becomes US Partner in Global Entrepreneurship Program

    The Krannert School of Management at Purdue University has become the US

partner for the Global Entrepreneurship Program (GEP) alongside EMLYON Business

School in France and Zhejiang University in China. Purdue is one the US's most

highly regarded academic institutions and one of the most attractive American

universities for international students.

    Launched in 2008, GEP is the first masters program dedicated to

entrepreneurship. The 12-month course is designed to provide entrepreneurial

leaders and managers with the tools, knowledge, network and mindset to operate

in increasingly global markets. "In this period of economic uncertainty, it is

individuals like this that companies need the most. The program gives them the

chance to understand three fundamentally different entrepreneurial environments

- North America, Europe and Asia - and to work together and share a

cross-cultural experience," says Patrice Houdayer, Vice President Graduate

Programmes.

    Recruited by the three schools from countries on six continents, students

begin the program at the campus of EMLYON with insight into to setting up a

company from scratch and the European approach to business. In January, they

head to China where they focus on family businesses. The last module takes

place on the campus of Purdue University in Indiana, with an examination of

what makes for a hi-growth company. Students also undertake a semester-long

consulting project for a local company with students from other countries,

designed to reinforce teamwork on a global level.

    As Dasha Lyulkovich, a 2011 graduate and founder of a successful start-up,

puts it, "The GEP program changes the way you look at things around you, how

you assess different markets - developing, developed or mature - but also the

way you see others. It's the springboard for your own ambitions and dreams."
