【ラドナー（米ペンシルベニア州）２７日PRN=共同JBN】実験室用品とサービスの販売で世界をリードするVWRインターナショナル社（VWR International, LLC、http://www.vwr.com）は２７日、オランダ、フランス、イタリア、シンガポール、マレーシア、ベトナムの子会社と事業所を含むドイツ・バサン社（basan Germany GmbH、http://www.basan.com）を買収する契約を結んだと発表した。同契約はドイツの慣習的な買収完了条件ならびに規制当局による認可を受ける。
バサン社は創業３０年で、欧州、東南アジアにおけるクリーンルーム関連の製品、サービスの販売大手。バサン社はバサン・ブランドのほか、多くの著名ブランドの消耗品のラインアップを取りそろえ、マイクロエレクトロニクス、半導体、バイオテクノロジー、医療器具、製薬、自動車など多くの産業に提供している。
VWR社上級副社長兼欧州担当社長、マヌエル・ブロック=ベンツ氏は「バサン社はクリーンルーム製品、サービスで確固とした定評があり、同社の製品、応用の知識と相まって、VWRの欧州ならびに東南アジアにおける能力を拡大することになる。バサンの加入によって当社が現在持っている製品、サービスのラインアップを拡大し、これら重要地域で当社顧客の重要な環境上の要請に応える能力を拡大することにもなる」

- VWR expands its presence in cleanroom and critical environment products
VWR International, LLC (http://www.vwr.com), a global leader in distributing
laboratory supplies and services, announced today that it has signed an
agreement to acquire basan Germany GmbH (http://www.basan.com), including its
subsidiaries and operations in The Netherlands, France, Italy, Singapore,
Malaysia and Vietnam. The agreement is subject to customary closing conditions
and regulatory approval in Germany.
With 30 years experience, basan is a leading distributor of products and
related services for cleanrooms in Europe and S.E. Asia. basan represents
several well-known brands in addition to its own basan brand consumable product
portfolio supplying various industries including microelectronics,
semi-conductor, biotechnology, medical device, pharmaceuticals and automotive.

combined with their strong product and application expertise extends VWR's
capabilities in both Europe and S.E. Asia," stated Manuel Brocke-Benz, VWR's
