【レストン（米バージニア州）2012年7月11日PRN＝共同JBN】Public Interest Registry（http://www.pir.org）（PIR）はこのほど、「.ORG」ドメイン名の登録が1000万に達する大きなマイルストーンに到達した。JADFORUM.ORG（http://jadforum.org）は6月24日、Go Daddy（https://www.godaddy.com）から登録を済ませた。イスラエル、ヨルダン、パレスチナの当局によって共有されているヨルダン川と死海流域の分水嶺の持続可能な地域開発を進めるために設置された組織のJordan River and Dead Sea Basin Forum （JAD）がこのドメイン名を登録した。

JAD Forum創設メンバーで、アラバ環境学研究所（Arava Institute for Environmental Studies）の越境水管理センター（Center for Transboundary Water Management）のディレクターであるクライブ・リプチン博士は「われわれの観点からみれば、.ORGはわれわれ組織にとって、ぴったりとした、関連性のあるドメイン名であり、国際的にも認められている」と語った。

    Public Interest Registry

has reached a major milestone with the registration of its 10 millionth .ORG

domain name: JADFORUM.ORG (http://jadforum.org), which was registered on June

24, 2012 with Go Daddy (https://www.godaddy.com). The domain name was

registered by the Jordan River and Dead Sea Basin Forum (JAD), an organization

dedicated to advancing the sustainable and regional development of the Jordan

River and Dead Sea Basin watershed shared by Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian

Authority.
