◎FDAがTriReme社の拡大サイズのGlider PTCAバルーン認可

【プレザントン（米カリフォルニア州）2012年7月16日 PRN＝共同JBN】TriReme Medical, Inc. (TMI) は16日、独自のGlider（商標）PTCA（経皮的冠動脈形成術）バルーンカテーテルの拡大サイズ・マトリックスが米食品医薬品局（FDA）の認可を取得したと発表した。Glider（商標）は現在、バルーン直径1.5-3.5ミリ、長さ4-20ミリで冠血管系にある病変のバルーン治療目的で認可されていることになる。

米アリゾナ州スコッツデールにあるScottsdale Heart Groupの医長兼インターベンショナル心臓医のダビド・リジク博士は「Gliderを使えばインターベンショナル心臓医は、複雑な側枝閉塞および完全閉塞の治療中に全く新しい水準の制御ができるようになる。Gliderはトルク可能なシャフトと超短4ミリ長であり、私はこのような巧みなデザインがあのように強力な臨床上の恩恵を提供できることに驚嘆している。Gliderは私にとって、最も難しいケースの治療を施す際に頼りになるバルーンである」と語った。

TriReme Receives FDA Approval for Expanded Matrix of Novel Glider(TM) PTCA Balloon Catheter

TriReme Medical, Inc. (TMI) announced today that it has received FDA clearance

for an expanded matrix of sizes for its unique Glider(TM) PTCA balloon

catheter. Glider(TM) is now approved for the treatment of lesions in the

coronary vasculature in balloon diameters from 1.5 - 3.5mm and in lengths from

4mm to 20mm.
