これまで、開発者はオリジナル・プラットフォームで作成したアプリを別のモバイル・プラットフォームで使うためには何回も手を加えなければならなかった。Codename Oneはこの点に着目し、Java開発者が一つのコードを使ってiOS、Android、Blackberry、Windows 7など複数のモバイルOSがそのまま利用できるオリジナル・モバイルアプリをつくることを可能にした。今回のVserv.mobiとの提携で、開発者はひとつのコードでどのプラットフォームでも動かすことができるだけでなく、そこから簡便にワンステップでつくり込まれた機能を利用して課金できることになる。
