◎スウェーデンのHi3GがMavenir SystemsのCSFBを発注

【ストックホルム、リチャードソン（米テキサス州）2012年8月30日PRN＝共同JBN】ロング・ターム・エボルーション（LTE）オペレーター向けモバイル基盤ソリューションの大手革新企業Mavenir Systems（http://www.mavenir.com/）はこのほど、スウェーデンのHi3G Access AB（Hi3G）からサーキットスイッチ・フォールバック（CSFB）を配備するために選ばれた。

サーキットスイッチ・フォールバック（CSFB）によって、サーキットスイッチ方式の音声とSMSサービスがLTE（http://www.lightreading.com/document.asp?doc_id=179689）携帯機器に配信されるので、携帯機器は音声通話を完結するために3Gネットワークに「フォールバック」（通信切り替え）する。Hi3GはCSFB機能を備えており、新しいLTE方式スマートフォンでの音声およびSMSの利用をサポートする。

Mavenir Systemsの実証済みVoLTE IWF（InterWorking Function）はあらゆるネットワークへの迅速な実装が立証されており、Hi3GはVoLTE IWFを活用することによって、極めて短時間での市場展開が可能になるとともに、ネットワークのアップグレードなしでシステムの立ち上げ、ネットワークの準備を現行のネットワークへの影響を最小限にしながら迅速に行うことができる。

Hi3G ACCESS AB (Hi3G) deploys CSFB with Mavenir Systems

Mavenir Systems (http://www.mavenir.com/), a leading innovator of mobile

infrastructure solutions for Long Term Evolution (LTE) operators, was selected

by Hi3G Access AB (Hi3G) Sweden for the deployment of Circuit Switch Fallback

(CSFB).

Circuit Switch Fallback (CSFB) enables circuit-switched voice and SMS services

to be delivered to LTE (http://www.lightreading.com/document.asp?doc_id=179689)

handsets so they "fall back" to the 3G network to complete voice calls. With

CSFB, Hi3G can support the new LTE-enabled smartphones for voice and SMS.

Mavenir's proven VoLTE IWF (InterWorking Function) has demonstrated very rapid

implementation into any network, thereby providing Hi3G with an extremely fast

time to market, enabling Hi3G to get the system up and the network ready

quickly with minimal impact on the current network as no network upgrades are

required.

"CSFB is essential to the introduction of LTE smartphones before VoLTE is

introduced. We selected Mavenir because of their proven CSFB technology, their
