◎第4回National eID & ePassport Conferenceをアジアで開催

【ストックホルム、クアラルンプール、リスボン2012年10月1日PRN＝共同JBN】PrimeKey Solutions、SecureMetric、MULTICERTは、市民の身分証明書のデジタル化推進に関する世界会議であるNational eID & ePassport Conference（http://www.eid-epass.org）を開催する。

マレーシアの科学・技術・イノベーション相、欧州委員会副委員長、欧州委員会法律顧問、インドネシアの通信情報省、シンガポールのインフォコム開発機関、アラブ首長国連邦IDのディレクターゼネラル、EUROSMART会長、ラオスの科学＆技術研究省、トルコの外務省、グルジアの司法省、オランダの治安・法務省、エストニアの認証センターなど。

基調演説、パネル会議、ワークショップ、ネットワーキング、展示に40カ国から40人の講演者、300人の専門家、主要産業、政府高官が参加する。

欧州連合加盟国と国際民間航空機関（ICAO）加盟国の80%以上が生体認証に基づく身分証明書を導入、ないしは導入過程にある。この種の技術を採用する流れは必然であり、すべての国が検討することが重要である。

第4回会議（http://www.eid-epass.org）は、マレーシアの科学・技術・イノベーション省が公式承認し、さらにCyberSecurityとマレーシア国家ICTイニシアチブが公式サポートしている。

ICT弁護士で欧州委員会法律顧問のハンス・グロークス氏は次のように語った。

「業界のイノベーション、法的枠組み、技術開発を議論する機会、特に国際レベルでは、とてもまれなことである。この会議は業界と政府の指導者にとってバランスがとれたものであり、世界中の相手から意見を聞き、これらの指導者は将来の開発に向けた出資を最適化することができる」

オランダの治安・法務省のコル・デ・ジョンゲ氏とジーン・デ・スワート氏は次のように語った。

「自動化された国境検問所の実現は、高度なセキュリティーと乗客の待ち時間短縮との兼ね合いをとるうえで長年続いてきた問題である。結果として、あらゆるソリューションはすべての必要なICAO準拠のアルゴリズムをサポートすると同時に、他の運用上の要件に沿った高度なセキュリティー環境を提供しなければならない」

グルジア共和国のギオルギ・バシャーゼ法相は次のように語った。

「今回の世界会議はeIDの相互運用性の実演に関する必要性、動機、影響、課題について話し合う最高のプラットフォームを提供する。現実生活での実践から学び、eID、ソーシャルメディア、クラウドの将来を検証する」
