【ゲイザースバーグ（米メリーランド州）2013年8月27日＝共同JBN】有力な心臓血管研究機関であるCVPath Instituteの役員はマイケル・ジョナー（Michael Joner）博士を新たな最高経営責任者（CEO）に任命した、とCVPathの創立者であり、社長兼医学担当役員であるレヌ・ビルマニ博士が発表した。任命は2013年8月15日付で発効している。

ジョナー博士は心臓血管医学、病理学、技術評価で卓越した経歴を持っている。ビュルツブルク大学で医学訓練を終え、2004－2006年はCVPath Instituteの心臓血管病理学フェローとして過ごした。ドイツに戻った後、2007年からミュンヘンのドイツ心臓センターで臨床前研究の責任者を務め、またここでインターベンショナル心臓医学実習も完了した。ジョナー博士は熟達した科学者であり、高度成長の医療技術会社で働いた実績を持つリーダーである。

CVPath Institute Appoints Dr. Michael Joner As New CEO

    The directors of CVPath Institute, a leading cardiovascular research

organization, have appointed Dr. Michael Joner as the Institute's new Chief

Executive Officer, announced Dr. Renu Virmani, CVPath's founder, president and

medical director. His appointment became effective August 15, 2013.  

    "We are thrilled that Michael is joining CVPath in this key leadership

role," Dr. Virmani said. "He brings a new dimension to the Institute's

cardiovascular research services, given his dual perspective as a clinical

scientist who is deeply engaged in patient care, as well as his proven

leadership track record. As CEO, he will be responsible for propelling the

Institute to the next level of success to ensure that it remains the premier

cardiovascular research organization in an ever-changing, highly innovative and

competitive field."

    Dr. Joner has a distinguished career in cardiovascular medicine, pathology,

and technology evaluation.  He completed his medical training at the University

of Wuerzburg and spent 2004-2006 as a cardiovascular pathology fellow at the

CVPath Institute. After returning to Germany, since 2007 Dr. Joner has been

Head of the Preclinical Research at the German Heart Center in Munich, where he

also completed his interventional cardiology residency.  Dr. Joner is an

accomplished scientist and leader with a track record of working with

high-growth medical technology companies.
