Silent Circleの共同創設者のフィル・ツィンマーマン氏は「エンタープライズのプライバシーは個人のプライバシーとおなじである。同じテクノロジーで両方を保護できる。プライバシー技術を開発するためのわたしの取り組みは、個人のプライバシーが人権の1つであるという考えがこれまで動機となってきた。最近起きたソニー攻撃は、企業も社員やパートナーのプライバシーを保護する職務に責任を持たなければならないことを示している」と語った。

PrivatOSはAndroidベースのオペレーティング・システムで、現代のプライバシー問題に対処するためにSilent Circleによって開発された。ソフトウエアや、キャリアへの縛りつけ、データ漏洩は一切ない。PrivatOSはユーザーが生産性を犠牲にすることなく、プライバシーを管理できる。
