【新竹2015年6月5日PRN＝共同通信JBN】世界をリードするICプロバイダーのリアルテック・セミコンダクター社（Realtek Semiconductor Corp.）は5日、AppleのHomeKitを全面サポートするAmebaおよびiCOM IoTソリューションを発表した。リアルテックは、スマートコンセント、スマート家電、ホームセキュリティーシステム、スマートセンサー／照明機器など、さまざまなIoTプラットフォーム･デザインに容易に実装できるAmeba（RTL8711）とiCOM（RTL8196/8188シリーズ）を搭載したトータルなHomeKitソリューションを提供する。

HomeKitは、顧客がSiriないしはサードパーティー・アプリを使ってHomeKit対応アクセサリーを容易にコントロールできるようにする一連の共通プロトコルを提供する。HomeKitはエンドツーエンド暗号化を搭載するセキュアな基盤上に構築され、iPhone、iPad、iPod touchとHomeKit対応アクセサリーの間でセキュアな接続を顧客に提供する。

Amebaソリューションは低消費電力設計で、バッテリー駆動の機器に最適である。Amebaは高性能CPU（ARM Cortex-M3）と内蔵メモリーを搭載する。Amebaは完璧なネットワーキングとWi-Fiプロトコル、ハードウエアSSLエンジン、UART、I2C、SPI、PWMなどさまざまなシリアルポートを提供する。さらにAmebaは、ADC、DAC、ハイスピードSDIO、USBを内蔵し、アナログ式センサーや機器を直接コントロールする。コネクティビティーに関してAmebaはApple Wireless Accessory Configuration（WAC）向けのソフトウエア・サポートを提供する。

Realtek Introduces Ameba & iCOM IoT Solutions with Full Support for Apple HomeKit

Realtek Semiconductor Corp., one of the world's leading IC providers, today

announced its Ameba and iCOM IoT solutions with full support for Apple's

HomeKit. Realtek offers total HomeKit solutions with Ameba (RTL8711 series) and

iCOM (RTL8196/8188 series) that can be easily implemented into various IoT

platform designs, e.g. smart plug, smart home appliances, home security

systems, and smart sensor/lighting devices.

HomeKit offers a set of common protocols making it easier for customers to

control HomeKit-enabled accessories using Siri or third-party apps. HomeKit is

customers a secure connection between their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and

HomeKit-enabled accessory.
