【シンガポール2015年6月12日PRN=共同通信JBN】Taisys Technologies Co. Ltd.が始めたslimduetアライアンスに参加したシンガポール第2の情報通信企業StarHubが、2015年6月15日からシンガポールへの旅行客にTaisysのソフトSIM無線ダウンロードプラットホームslimduet（R）を使ったプリペイド式のモバイル・サービスを提供することになった。シンガポールは東南アジアにおけるビジネス、金融、さらに運輸の主要なハブで、世界中から毎月120万人が訪れる。
slimduetは各国で主要モバイル事業者の信頼を勝ち取り、観光市場向けのモバイル分野で確かな地歩を築き上げている。香港、日本、韓国、英国、米国、台湾、タイに続き、シンガポールもslimduetがカバーする地域に入った。
StarHubのプリペイド・モバイル・ビジネス担当アシスタント・バイス・プレジデントであるティアン・ウング・ピン氏は「Taisysと提携して同社の国際的なプリペイド・モバイル販売ネットワークへの参加を発表できることを喜んでいる。slimduetの利用者は、世界のどこからでも電話でStarHubのバーチャル・プリペイド・パッケージを予約でき、シンガポール到着と同時にサービスをアクティベートさせ、シンガポール全域をカバーするStarHubの高度なモバイルネットワークにつながることができる。この新たな便利さは他にはないもので、今日のデジタル時代にあって仕事にも遊びにも携帯接続が必要な旅行者の滞在経験のすべてが向上することになる」と述べた。
Taisys会長のジェイソン・ホー氏は「シンガポールにおけるStarHubとの提携はモバイル社会でのソフトSIMサービス展開にとって重要な節目である。slimduetソフトSIMの販売は当社がサービスを提供する国の関連する規制に厳重に準拠している。すべての地域の携帯事業者がslimduetに参加して国境のない通信サービスを提供できるようになればと考えている」と述べた。
slimduetを始めるには、ユーザーは最初にウェブサイト（www.slimduet.net/en/#shop ）からslimduet SIMのステッカーを買い、それを自分が使っているSIMカードに貼り付け、slimduetアプリを使って携帯事業各社が提供するプリペイド・パッケージを購入する必要がある。使い残したslimduetのSIMは将来、slimduetがカバーする国へ旅行した時に再利用できる。
StarHubがシンガポールで提供する14米ドルのプリペイド・パッケージには18シンガポール・ドル分の現地での通話、SMS、データ通信サービスに加え、5日間の現地での100ギガバイトの無料データ通信およびIDD018による19地域への無料通話サービスが付いてくる。サービスのアクティベーションはシンガポールのチャンギ空港にある複数のStarHub公認販売店のいずれかで行える。その先、ユーザーが自分のプリペイド・アカウントを管理する場合、または追加で音声・データ通信利用量を購入する場合は「*123#」に電話することで可能になる。

Taisys slimduet and StarHub to Target Tourists in Southeast Asia

Having joined the slimduet alliance initiated by Taisys Technologies Co. Ltd.,
Singapore's second-largest info-communications company StarHub will start
offering its mobile pre-paid services via slimduet(R), Taisys' soft SIM
over-the-air download platform, to Singapore visitors from 15 June 2015. A key
business, financial and transport hub in Southeast Asia, Singapore welcomes
about 1.2 million visitors monthly from around the world.
slimduet has won the trust of major mobile operators to build a solid
foundation in the tourism telecom market. After Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, UK,
US, Taiwan and Thailand, Singapore is the latest to have slimduet coverage.
StarHub's Assistant Vice President of Mobile Pre-paid Business, Tian Ung Ping
says, "We are happy to announce our foray into the international mobile
pre-paid distribution market in alliance with Taisys. Wherever they are in the
world, slimduet users can pre-order a virtual StarHub pre-paid package on their
phone and easily activate the service upon arrival to get connected on

will enhance the overall visitor experience for travellers, who in this digital
age require connectivity on their phones for both work and play."

To get started, users have to buy slimduet SIM sticker at
www.slimduet.net/en/#shop, attach the sticker to existing SIM and purchase
pre-paid packages offered by the mobile operators through the slimduet app. The
slimduet SIM can be reused for future travel in countries with slimduet
coverage.
For Singapore, the USD 14 pre-paid package powered by StarHub will come with
SGD 18 credit for local talktime, SMS and data, free 100GB local data for five
days and free IDD018 calls to 19 destinations. Activating the service can be
done at StarHub authorized dealers in Changi Airport. Users can thereafter dial
*123# to manage pre-paid account and buy additional voice and data plans.
