レクサスが未来のホバーボードを制作

高級車ブランドのレクサスは、超電導技術における世界有数の専門家らと提携し、先進的なホバーボードを制作しました。

レクサス・ホバーボードは磁気浮上技術を使用し、摩擦のない状態で走行します。液体窒素で冷却された超電導体と永久磁石の組み合わせにより、レクサスは不可能と思われることを可能にしました。

レクサス独自にデザインされたホバーボードは、象徴的なレクサスのスピンドルグリルのデザインをモチーフとし、ハイテク素材からバンブー（竹）などの自然素材まで、高級車ブランドに使われる素材を使用しています。

レクサス・ホバーボードは、レクサスブランドの創造性と革新性を表現するレクサス「Amazing In Motion」キャンペーンの第4弾で使われます。

レクサス・ホバーボードのテストは2015年夏、今後数週間にわたって、スペイン・バルセロナで行われます。

Lexus has partnered with world leading experts in super conductive technology

to create one of the most advanced hoverboards ever developed.

The Lexus hoverboard operates using magnetic levitation to achieve frictionless

movement, incorporating a highly advanced design that features liquid nitrogen

cooled superconductors and permanent magnets.

It is wrapped in a unique Lexus design with the iconic spindle grille signature

shape and materials found in the luxury marque’s product, from the high tech to

natural bamboo.

Mark Templin, Executive Vice President Lexus International, said the new

hoverboard exemplified Lexus’ commitment to innovation in design and

engineering.  

"At Lexus, we constantly challenge ourselves and our partners to push the

boundaries of what is possible,” Mr Templin said. “That determination, combined

with our passion and expertise for design and innovation, is what led us to

take on the hoverboard project.

“It’s the perfect example of the amazing things that can be achieved when you

combine technology, design and imagination.”  

The Lexus hoverboard is part of the fourth project in the Lexus ‘Amazing in

Motion’ campaign that showcases the creativity and innovation of the Lexus

brand.

Testing of the Lexus hoverboard will take place in Barcelona, Spain, over the

coming weeks.
