UIEvolution, Inc.は16日、シアトルに本社を置く機械学習の新興企業、Surround.io Corporationと正式契約を結び、UIEvolutionがSurround.ioを買収することになったと発表した。買収手続きは慣例による一定の完了条件を満たしたうえで、年内に完了する見込みである。

この手続きに伴い、UIEvolutionは社名を「Xevo Inc.」に変更する。Xevo(TM)（読み：ジーヴォ）の名はSurround買収とともに、同社が取り組む重点を拡大し、ユーザー・インターフェースの進化に加えて広範囲の技術適用で多様なユーザー体験を抱合することを意味している。これらの技術には、自動車産業向けのディープラーニング、コンピュータービジョン、機械学習、ビッグデータ分析、クラウドサービスが含まれている。

UIEvolution, Inc. today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement

with Seattle-based machine learning startup Surround.io Corporation under which

UIEvolution will acquire Surround.io. The transaction is expected to close

before the end of the year, subject to certain customary closing conditions.

In connection with the transaction, UIEvolution will be changing its name to
