中国竜門県が芸術のモデル地域に転換

【竜門（中国）2017年8月30日新華社＝共同通信JBN】現代文明と古代文化が混じり合う、景色の美しい山里、竜門県は広東省・香港・マカオを結ぶ大湾岸圏に位置する質の高い生活圏の好例となり、芸術の都への変貌を図っている。同県は緑の中で過ごすバケーション、健康的な温泉、牧歌的な景色や民俗などに恵まれ、観光事業が花開き、地域発展の新たな道筋をつけた。統計では竜門県の2016年の年間観光収入は49億3000万元に達し、前年比で34.3%増を記録した。

広東省に属する竜門は広東省・香港・マカオを結ぶ大湾岸圏の核心地域に位置する歴史的な県で、「北回帰線上のオアシス」として知られている。竜門は丘陵地が全域の73%超を占め、森林被覆率が76.6%の山県で「最も美しい文化・エコツーリズム県」「中国民俗文化・芸術のふるさと」などの呼び名をほしいままにしており、エコ環境の面では珠江デルタ地帯で最も優れた地域のひとつである。これら文化的な発展をすべて鮮やかに記録しているのが「農民画」だ。

竜門県の「農民画」は旧清朝時代にさかのぼる。1988年には、竜門県は国家によって「中国現代民俗絵画のふるさと」にノミネートされている。その時以来、竜門県の発展が続いてきた。

「農民画」が描く美しい景色はその後、中国の多くの都市で容易に見つけることができるものになった。竜門の「農民画」は人々の前向きな姿や親切さを描く。ほとんどの絵は中国の庶民が持つ美意識を表しており、人と自然の調和を反映している。

この小さな県に「農民画」を描く画家が350人以上もいるが、大半は田舎生まれで、仕事の合間に絵を描いている。「農民画」は中国切り絵細工、刺繍、壁画など民俗芸術の要素を取り入れている。これらの絵画は中国の古典文化や民俗などから着想を得て、田園の生活様式にあふれ、独特の芸術的な魅力を持っている。村を歩けば、誰でも「農民画」に描かれた文化を体感できる。

竜門県政府の担当者は「農民画は田舎の暮らしを詩的でありながら同時に現代的に描いている」と述べた。

竜門県は優れた環境エコロジーのおかげで、民俗文化の可能性を追求し続け、農民画のニュアンスを広げている。

南昆山の十字水生態度仮村（Crosswaters Ecolodge and SPA）で記者は客家の伝統的な土楼と竹を組み合わせた建築技術を見ることができ、自然と文化の調和も楽しんだ。同リゾートは支配人によれば「グローバルローカリゼーション」に向けて設計されたもので、今では竜門エコ観光の新たな目玉商品になり、「世界ランドスケープ・デザイン賞」の表彰も受けたという。

竜門県には他にも多くの同じようなエコツーリズムの見どころがある。広東省・香港・マカオ大湾岸圏の主要な構成メンバーのひとつでもある竜門県はエコの強みをさらに生かし、エコ文化を通じた経済成長を図ろうとしている。

今日、竜門県は「農民画」を通じて名声と認知度を地球規模で獲得した。絵画は中国の伝統文化と世界をつなぐコミュニケーション手段になっている。これらの絵画は米国、カナダ、日本、スウェーデン、オーストラリア、フィジー、他の国々に紹介されている。農民画家の多くも海外から文化交流展示会を開くよう招聘を受けている。

Longmen: a Mountainous County Turns into China's Exemplary Artsy Place

Longmen, a mountainous county with beautiful scenery, a blend of civilization

and ancient culture, has become a good example of high quality living circle

based on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to build up an artsy

place. Blessed with green vacation, healthy hot spring, pastoral scenery and

folk customs, the flourishing tourism opens a new window for the county

development. According to statistics, the annual tourism revenue of Longmen

reached 4.93 billion RMB in 2016, with a year-on-year growth of 34.3%.

Subordinated to Guangdong province, Longmen, a historical county lying in the

core zone of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, is known as "an

oasis on the Tropic of Cancer". As a mountainous county with hills accounted

for more than 73% of the total area, and the forest coverage rate of 76.6%,

Longmen enjoys the names of "the most beautiful cultural and ecological tourism

county" and "hometown of Chinese folk culture and art", and is one of the best

areas in the Pearl River Delta in terms of ecological environment. All these

culture evolutions have been significantly marked down by the farmer painting.

Longmen's farmer paintings were originated from the late Qing Dynasty. In 1988,

Longmen was nominated as "the hometown of Chinese modern folk painting" by the

nation. Since then, they have witnessed the development of Longmen.

The paintings drawn by farmers have become beautiful scenery that can be easily

found in many cities of China. Farmer Paintings of Longmen show the positive

attitude and kindness of its people. Most of them express the aesthetic taste

of the grassroots in China, and reflect the concept of harmony between human

and nature.

In this small county, there are more than 350 painters of farmer paintings,

most of whom were born in the rural area, and they use their leisure time to

paint. Their paintings put together various folk art elements such as Chinese

paper-cut, embroidery, and murals etc.. Using folk custom and Chinese classical

culture as inspiration, the paintings are full of countryside style and have

the unique charm of art. Wandering in the village, you can feel the culture

through the beautiful farmer paintings.   

"Farmer paintings make the countryside poetic and modern at the same time,"

said an official of Longmen County Government.

Thanks to its superior environmental ecology, Longmen has kept tapping the

potential of its folk culture and extending the connotation of farmer

paintings.

In the Crosswaters Ecolodge and SPA in Nankun Mountain, the reporter saw the

building technique that combines Hakka traditional cob wall with bamboo, and

enjoyed the harmony of nature and culture. According to the manager, designed

for "global localization", the resort has become a new landmark of Longmen

ecology tourism, and has won the certificate of "Global Landscape Design Award".

There are many other similar ecological attractions in Longmen. As a

significant member in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Longmen

is strengthening its ecological advantages to be an example of growing the

economy via eco-culture resource.

Today, Longmen has gained reputation and recognition globally through its

farmer paintings. They have become a way of communication that links Chinese

traditional culture and the world together. These paintings have entered the

United States, Canada, Japan, Sweden, Australia, Fiji and other countries. Many

farmer painters were also invited to hold cultural exchange exhibitions

overseas.
