ペルー投資促進庁、東京で2017年アジア投資ロードショーを締めくくり

ペルー投資促進庁、プロインヴェルシオン (Proinversión) は9月29日、アジア地域における投資ロードショーを東京で成功裡に終結しました。東京で行われたこのイベントは、日本の銀行として権威ある東京三菱UFJ銀行と在日ペルー大使館の共同後援によるもので、80名を超える参加者を迎えたカンファレンスが東京三菱UFJ銀行本社で催されました。その後、日本の企業や潜在的投資家との一連の双方向ミーティングでは、非常に生産性の高い会話が実現しています。

プロインヴェルシオンの特別プロジェクト部長、アルベルト・ニェッコ氏の率いる代表団は、すでに今週の前半、中国の北京、韓国のソウルでも同様に重要なイベントを主催し、日本からは日立、三井、三菱をはじめ、業界を主導する企業の代表者が数多く参加した一方、中国では華騰工業（ヴォラント・インダストリー）、平高（ピンガオ）グループ、山東電力 (SEPCO) から、また韓国ではユーシン（唯信）、ダイウ（大宇）、ヒュンダイ（現代）からも代表者が参加しています。

東京のイベントでは、ペルー大使のハロルド・フォーサイス氏が開会の言葉を述べ、両国の140年を超える外交の歴史と、日本はペルーの貿易相手国として世界第5位であるという事実を強調しました。また、海外投資家と自国投資家への条件が対等であること、資産を保護する堅固な法的枠組みの存在など、海外資本に有利なペルーへの投資の状況を指摘しました。

一方、投資家サービス部長であるセサル・マルティン・ペニャランダ氏は、同庁の一連のインフラプロジェクトのポートフォリオについてプレゼンテーションを行いました。その総価値は170億米ドルを上回り、エネルギー事業、鉱業、ガス事業、運輸事業、水道および衛生事業、電気通信事業までの各セクターに及ぶものです。また同氏は、ペルーにおけるPPP（官民パートナーシップ、Public-Private Partnership）と入札プロセスの仕組みについても解説しました。

ニェッコ氏は、「非常に生産性の高いロードショーが大きな成功を収めて東京で終結しました。この間、特にペルーの国情安定と透明性の高さに魅力を感じるアジアの企業グループや個人投資家から多大な関心を集めてきました。ペルーにおけるインフラ欠落の規模の大きさにより、たくさんの機会が生まれるため、ペルー市場に参入する最善の方法を学ぼうという意欲を多数の企業が示しています。近い将来PPP入札に参入しようとするアジア地域の潜在的パートナーとの関係を発展させるうえで、今回のロードショーは最も重要な役割を果たしました。」と述べています。

Proinversion Concludes Asia Roadshow 2017 in Tokyo

On Friday 29th, Proinversión, the Peruvian Investment Authority, concluded a

highly successful Asia investment roadshow in Tokyo, Japan, holding a

conference for over 80 attendees at the headquarters of the the prestigious

Japanese Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, who supported the event along with the

Embassy of Peru in Japan. This was followed by a series of bilateral meetings

with Japanese companies and potential investors.

The delegation was headed by Mr. Alberto Ñecco, the Director of Special

Projects at Proinversión, and earlier in the week had held similarly important

actions in Beijing, China and Seoul, South Korea. Among the Japanese guests

were representatives from Hitachi, Mitsui, Mitsubishi and many other industry

leaders, while guests in China included representatives from Volant Industry,

Pinggao Group and SEPCO, and in South Korea from Yooshin, Daewoo and Hyundai.

The Tokyo event was inaugurated with an introduction by Peruvian Ambassador,

His Excellency Mr. Harold Forsyth, who highlighted the more than 140 years of

diplomatic relations between the two countries and the fact that Japan is

Peru's fifth largest trade partner. He noted the favorable investment

conditions for foreign capital such as the equal conditions for foreign and

domestic investors and the solid legal framework to protect assets.

For his part, Mr. Cesar Martin Penaranda, Director for Investor Services,

presented the Agency's portfolio of infrastructure projects worth over US$

17bn, in sectors such as energy, mining, gas, transport, water and sanitation

and telecommunications. He also explained the way in which PPPs and the tender

process works in Peru.

Mr. Necco concluded: "Tokyo marks the end of a highly productive and successful

roadshow during which we have received a great amount of interest from Asian

conglomerates and private investors who are particularly attracted by Peru's

stability and transparency. The size of our infrastructure gap provides many

opportunities and many firms have expressed their interest in learning how to

best enter the market. Our roadshow has been vital to developing relations with

potential partners from the region who will be participating in tenders to

enter PPPs in the near future".
