MARUNI COLLECTION on Display at "Japon-Japonismes. Objets inspires, 1867-2018”
Maruni Wood Industry Inc., a wooden furniture manufacturer based in Hiroshima, Japan, is proud to announce that its collection is on exhibit in the "Japon-Japonismes. Objets inspires, 1867-2018” under way at Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, France.

Maruni Wood Industry is well known for its MARUNI COLLECTION, directed by renowned Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa, and for its furniture also designed by Fukasawa and English designer Jasper Morrison. Maruni has been successfully introducing new products yearly at the Salone del Mobile Internazionale for 10 years, and has been gaining high reputation from the global market, consecutively exhibiting at the main Hall 16 since 2016.
Maruni has been pioneering the industrial application of craft skills since 1928, and a HIROSHIMA armchair designed by Fukasawa became one of Maruni’s iconic pieces. HIROSHIMA armchairs were installed in the new headquarters of Apple, Inc., the Apple Park, in 2017. Maruni’s furniture also adds comfort and a relaxing atmosphere to the TERASS HOTEL in Montmartre and at Le Villaret, a Neo bistro in Paris, France.
The exhibition is taking place till March 3, 2019, as part of the “Japonismes 2018: les ames en resonance” program, which will showcase the diversity of Japanese culture through nearly 100 venues in Paris and other locations over an 8-month period in celebration of 160 years of diplomatic relations between the Government of Japan and the Government of France. Amongst the wide variety of artistic media, Maruni pieces proudly contribute to showing Japanese craftsmanship.
The MARUNI COLLECTION is distributed to 30 countries and the products can be purchased at SILVERA (www.silvera.fr) in France.
