Wear OS by Google(TM)とQualcomm(R) Snapdragon Wear(TM) 3100プロセッサを搭載した、この新しい「Diesel On Axial Smartwatch」は、iOS(R)(iPhone(R)) とAndroid(TM)の両方のスマートフォンと連動し、Bluetooth(R)によって接続することができます。また、新たな技術とスピーカーを採用することで、ウォッチでの通話を応答可能にしました。

最新のウェアラブルテクノロジーによって設計された「Axial Smartwatch」は、ユーザーに合わせてパフォーマンスを最適化することにフォーカスしています。ミッドセンチュリーに登場した、マテリアルの構造と実用的要素を組み合わせて荒々しさを表現した“ブルータリズム建築”にインスパイアを受けたデザインをスマートウォッチに落とし込み、従来のスマートウォッチデザインの概念を覆しています。頑丈なプッシャー、スティール製のリベット、表面加工されたアルミケースサイド、そしてガンメタル、シルバー、ブロンズトーンのバリエーションを備えたステンレススティール製のボディからなるルックスは、細部に余念なくこだわりをもったディーゼルならではの仕上がりです。ストラップも、ブラックレザー、ブルーデニム、ガンメタルのステンレススティールブレスのバリエーションを備え、デザインやスタイルを求めるユーザーに沢山の選択肢を提供します。

これまでのモデル同様に、「Axial Smartwatch」にもクリエイティブでインタラクティブなウォッチダイアルが標準設定されています。3Dの錯覚をもたらす、サイケデリックなトンネルのような効果を持つ「Information Tunnel」や、バーチャル地球儀のような「Globe」ダイアルが新たに追加されています。「Globe」ダイアルでは、現在地に加えて2つのタイムゾーンを設定でき、地球を回転させるようにタッチして時間表示をすることが可能です。さらに、1日の時間帯によって自動的に色が変化する「ネオンフリッカー」ダイアルや、指でタップすると水の波紋のようなエフェクトが生まれるインタラクティブ心拍モニタリングダイアル「ZEN」も、引き続き搭載されています。

ユーザーの位置情報と連動した天候を表示するインタラクティブなアニメーションダイアルも備え、外に出ることなくリアルタイムで天候情報を知ることができるのも魅力的な機能のひとつです。

スピーカー機能

スピーカーが搭載されたことにより、スマートウォッチ上でスマートフォンの着信に応答することが可能です。

現在、この機能はAndroidユーザーにのみ提供されていますが、今後発表予定の独自アプリをインストールすることで、iPhoneユーザーでもウォッチで直接着信を受けて通話することが可能になる予定です。

また、Google アシスタントに話しかけると、スマートウォッチから直接音声での応答を聞くことができます。

・ Google アシスタントからのレスポンスを聴く

・ Google 翻訳で、翻訳文を音声で聴く

・ ウォッチから音楽を聴く

4種類のバッテリーモード（バッテリーライフを長持ちさせるモードオプション）

ユーザーがバッテリー消費をコントロールできるよう、4種類のバッテリーモードを備えています。

1. 「バッテリー延長モード」：1回の充電で24時間以上スマートウォッチを使えるようにし、さらに通知や心拍計測等の主要な機能をそのままお楽しみいただけます。

2. 「デイリーモード」：ほとんどすべての機能が有効になり、スクリーンも常時オンとなります。

3. 「拡張モード」：ユーザー自身で有効機能を設定し、バッテリーをセーブするモードです。

4. 「時計表示限定モード」：バッテリー残量が少なくなったウォッチをこのモードに切り替えると、時刻表示機能のみが稼働して消費電力を抑え、時計として使用できる時間を延長することができます。

ストレージ・メモリーの増加

ストレージが前世代機種の4GBから倍の8GB（RAM 1GBを含む）に増えたことで、アプリやメディアをより多くダウンロードすることができ、またメモリーの増加によって全体のパフォーマンスが向上しています。

自動インストールアプリ

強化されたストレージを活かし、世界で最も人気のオーディオストリーミングサービスである「Spotify」や、セキュリティアプリの「Noonlight」、活動量や心拍センサーをモニタリングすることができる「Cardiogram」などが自動インストールされます。

In the spirit of fearless style, Diesel unveils its newest touchscreen smartwatch

for Holiday 2019. Powered by Wear OS by Google(TM) and the Qualcomm(R)

Snapdragon Wear(TM) 3100 platform, the new Diesel On Axial Smartwatch

features a speaker and new technology that will soon allow both iPhone and

Android(TM) users to make and receive tethered phone calls, right on their watch.

Designed with the latest in wearable technology, the Axial Smartwatch focuses

on an overall performance that works as hard as you do. As expected, Diesel

pushes the boundaries of traditional smartwatch design with an overall look

that's inspired by the mid-20th century Brutalist architecture movement. Rugged

pushers, steel rivets and an aluminum core give the watch a unique look.

Axial's industrial case comes in gunmetal, silver, and bronze-tone stainless steel.

With three strap constructions to choose from—black leather, blue denim and

gunmetal stainless steel—you can choose a watch to match every aspect of your lifestyle.

Diesel sets the standard for creative, interactive watch dials, and the Axial

smartwatch is no exception. A new dial, called "Information Tunnel," has a

psychedelic, tunnel-like effect that gives the illusion of 3-D. The "Globe"

dial features a rotating globe that users can manipulate with just a touch.

Using the moving globe, two additional time zones can be chosen to be shown on

the dial. Existing dial options include the neon Flicker dial as well as the interactive

heart rate dial, which creates a rippling water effect when touched.

Finally, the Axial smartwatch will also feature weather effects, interactive

dial animations that show a range of real-time weather conditions and will

update based on your current location. From cloudy to sunny to windy (and

everything in between), weather effects will keep you up-do-date without ever

having to set foot outside.

New Speaker

With the addition of a speaker, users have the ability to take calls on their smartwatch.

Using a proprietary app, both Android and iPhone users will soon be able to make and

receive tethered phone calls directly from their watch. Additionally, users can talk to

the Google Assistant and hear sound alerts for notifications directly from their smartwatch.

Extended Battery Mode

Fossil Group has developed a proprietary smartwatch experience that offers four

battery life settings, putting the user in control and allowing for extended battery life.

This new experience offers an 'Extended Battery Mode' where users can extend to multiple days

on a single charge while still enjoying essential features like notifications and heart rate.  

More Storage. More Memory.

With 8GB of storage, users can download even more content while increased

memory improves overall performance.

Auto-Installed Apps: Leveraging the enhanced storage, Diesel is auto-installing

apps such as Cardiogram, a digital companion for heart health, Spotify, the most popular

global audio streaming subscription service, and Noonlight, a peace of mind and safety app.
