合弁会社は欧州での両社のマグネットワイヤ事業提携を発展させる。最終契約と通常の規制面などでの承認を経て、両社は数カ月かけてマグネットワイヤ事業を統合し、世界的なマーケットリーダーを立ち上げる。合弁会社は「Essex Furukawa」ブランドを使用し、「Essex Furukawa Magnet Wire, LLC」として操業する。

Essex, Furukawa Electric Agree to Global Joint Venture

Superior Essex Inc. ("Superior Essex"), the parent company of Essex Magnet Wire,

and Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. ("Furukawa"), both leaders in magnet wire product

development, and custom solutions, today announced that the boards of the two

companies have approved the framework of a new global joint venture.

The joint venture will expand upon a previous magnet wire partnership between

the two entities in Europe. Upon execution of the definitive agreements and

customary regulatory and other approvals, the companies will combine their

magnet wire business operations over the course of the next several months to

create a global market leader.  The combined company will operate as Essex

Furukawa Magnet Wire, LLC, using the "Essex Furukawa" brand.
