オーストラリア企業、第3回CIIEに高い期待

オーストラリアの実業界は、先月の上海での第2回中国国際輸入博覧会（CIIE）の終了後、来年のCIIEに期待すると語っている。

説明会で、今年のCIIEに参加した出展企業も、同イベントはオーストラリア企業に中国市場でのフットプリントを拡大するための大きな機会を提供すると語った。

説明会への出席者にはCIIE事務局のスン・チェンハイ次長がおり、同氏は、中国とオーストラリアは長年にわたり密接な関係を享受してきたと指摘した。

スン氏は、第2回輸入博にはオーストラリアの出展企業約150社が参加登録し、初回に比べて30%増え、展示面積も前年比で40%広くなったと語った。

ニューサウスウェールズ州産業省のエグゼクティブディレクターであるカイリー・ベル氏は、第2回CIIEでのオーストラリアの出展企業の半分がニューサウスウェールズ州からであり、同博覧会は中国とオーストラリアの経済協力を推進するのに理想的なプラットフォームを提供すると語った。

同氏は、もっと多くのオーストラリア企業を送り込むことで第3回輸入博を支援すると約束した。

中国のグ・シヤオジエ駐シドニー総領事によると、CIIEは中国とオーストラリアの密接な経済・貿易関係を紹介するための重要な手段になっている。

グ氏は、オーストラリア企業がCIIEに参加し、中国とオーストラリアの2国間関係の強化に貢献することを歓迎した。

11月5日から10日まで開かれた第2回CIIEは、181カ国・地域の3800以上の企業と国際機関が参加し、1年間の財・サービスの購入では前年を大幅に上回る711億3000万ドルの仮契約が結ばれた。

The Australian business community has said that it is looking forward to next

year's China International Import Expo (CIIE) following the conclusion of the

second edition of the trade fair in Shanghai last month.

During the roadshow, exhibitors who participated in this year's CIIE also said

that the event presents Australian businesses with a great opportunity to expand

their footprint in the Chinese market.

Among those attending the roadshow was Sun Chenghai, the deputy director

general of the CIIE Bureau, who pointed out that China and Australia have

enjoyed a close relationship over the years.

Around 150 Australian exhibitors signed up for the second import expo, up 30 percent

compared with the inaugural edition, while the exhibition area had also increased by

40 percent year-on-year, said Sun.

Kylie Bell, executive director of the New South Wales Department of Industry,

said that half of the Australian exhibitors at the second CIIE were from New South Wales,

and that the expo provides an ideal platform to further China-Australia economic cooperation.

She also pledged to support the third import expo by bringing more Australian businesses.

The CIIE has become an important window to showcase the close economic and trade

relations between China and Australia, according to Chinese Consul-General in Sydney Gu Xiaojie.

Gu welcomed Australian enterprises to participate in the CIIE and contribute to

the strengthening of bilateral ties between China and Australia.

Held from Nov 5 to 10, the second CIIE drew over 3,800 enterprises from 181 countries,

regions and international organizations, with intended deals for one-year purchases of goods

and services topping $71.13 billion, a sharp rise compared to last year.
