◎iPhone、iPod Touch向けのアプリを公開　　ソニーのMusic Unlimited

【フォスターシティー（米カリフォルニア州）２２日PRN＝共同JBN】ソニーネットワークエンターテインメントインターナショナル（Sony Network Entertainment International）は２２日、iPhone（アイフォーン、登録商標）とiPod Touch（アイポッドタッチ、登録商標）（注１）向けのミュージックアンリミテッド（Music Unlimited）・サービス・アプリケーションが５月２５日から世界中で利用可能になると発表した。同サービスの購読者はこの無料アプリを使用すれば、同サービスの数百万のトラック（注２）の世界カタログに、いつでも、どこでもアクセスができる。

ソニーネットワークエンターテインメントインターナショナルのティム・シャーフ社長は「インターネットに接続したデバイスが普及するにつれ、消費者はデジタル・エンターテインメントに完全にアクセスできることを期待し、デバイスの違いに関係なく一貫した体験ができることを求めている。すべてのソニーエンターテインメントネットワーク体験に備わる高品質なエンターテインメントと同じ水準を保証したうえで、当社は世界中のより多くの音楽愛好家にサービス提供ができる数ある方法の一つとして、iPhoneとiPod Touchにミュージックアンリミテッド・サービスを提供することにした」と語った。

iPhone（登録商標）とiPod Touch（登録商標）は、ミュージックアンリミテッド・サービスが提供されているソニー製およびその他インターネット接続デバイスの現行エコシステムに新たに加わることになる。接続デバイスには、プレイステーション（登録商標）３（PlayStation(R)3）、プレイステーション（登録商標）・ビタ（PlayStation(R)Vita）、ブラビア（登録商標）テレビ（BRAVIA(R) TVs）、アンドロイド（商標、Android(TM)）タブレットに加え、ソニー・エクスペリア（商標、Sony Xperia(TM)）を含むスマートフォンなどがある。消費者は新しいアプリを使用して、自分のミュージックライブラリー（注３）、プレイリスト、チャンネルを聞くことができるほか、プレイリストに楽曲を容易に追加し、関連するアーティストやトラックを発見し、ジャンル別に閲覧することが可能となる。

ソニーネットワークエンターテインメントインターナショナルの副社長でデジタルビデオ＆ミュージックサービスのゼネラルマネジャーであるマイケル・アラゴン氏は「ユーザーが好みのデバイスを手に取り、ミュージックアンリミテッド・サービスをいつでも開始してもらえることを望んでいる。iPhoneとiPod Touch向けのアプリが新たに加わったことで、ベーシックあるいはプレミアムを購読するユーザーは自宅や屋外で、最も人気のある多数のインターネット接続デバイスを使用して好みの楽曲を聞くことができる」と語った。

iPhone（登録商標）とiPod Touch（登録商標）向けの新たなミュージックアンリミテッド・サービス・アプリは、５月２５日からアップストア（商標）で無料でダウンロードすることができる。

    - Company Reaffirms Its Commitment to Entertainment Everywhere with the

Release of Its Cloud-Based Music Service App in the App Store

Sony Network Entertainment International today announced the Music Unlimited

service application (app) for iPhone(R) and iPod touch(R)1 will be available

globally this coming Friday, May 25. With the free app, subscribers can access

the service's global catalog of millions of tracks[2] whenever and wherever

they are.  

"With the proliferation of connected devices, consumers expect complete access

to their digital entertainment and demand a consistent experience regardless of

the device," said Tim Schaaff, President of Sony Network Entertainment

International. "Bringing the Music Unlimited service to iPhone and iPod touch

is one of the many ways we are able to reach more music lovers around the world

while ensuring the same level of high-quality entertainment that is associated

with the overall Sony Entertainment Network experience."

The iPhone(R) and iPod touch(R) will be the newest additions to the Music

Unlimited service's existing ecosystem of Sony and other connected devices

including PlayStation(R)3, PlayStation(R)Vita, BRAVIA(R) TVs, and Android(TM)

tablets and smartphones including Sony Xperia(TM). The new app allows consumers

to listen to their music library[3], playlists and channels, easily add songs

to playlists, discover related artists and tracks, and browse by genre.

downloaded for free from the App Store(TM) beginning Friday, May 25, 2012 .
