【リチャードソン（米テキサス州）2012年11月6日PRN＝共同JBN】モバイル・オペレーター向けモバイル基盤ソリューションの大手革新企業Mavenir Systems（http://www.mavenir.com）は6日、GSMAのRich Communication ServicesのRCS 5バージョンを同社のコンバージド・サービス製品ポートフォリオに完全統合したことを正式に発表した。今回の開発によって、同社は音声、ビデオ、メッセージングのソリューションを含む完全なRCS 5ソリューションを提供する初の企業になる。

最新のRCS規格はRCS v1-4 aおよびRCS-e v1.2を統合したうえで、SMS/MMSにサービス相互作用のためのConverged IP Messaging（CPM）を追加し、モバイル・キャリアーが互いのネットワークを越えたサービスの完全な相互運用を可能にする。

商用を開始することによって、MetroPCSはソーシャル・プレゼンスとワンクリック・コンテンツ共有、IP音声／ビデオ電話、スレッド構成のマルチメディア・メッセージングなどの機能が強化されたモバイル・アドレスブックなどの新しい革新的機能を提供している。MetroPCSは同社の市場初のボイスオーバーLTE（VoLTE）サービスを実現する同一のMavenir mOne（登録商標） Platform上で、新規サービスとしてRCS 5.0サービスを迅速に立ち上げることができた。
