- First Ramen Restaurant Overseas of G-7 Group -

G-7 HOLDINGS INC. (Chairman and Representative Director: Mamoru Kinoshita, listed in the first section of TSE: Stock code 7508) will open "Ramen KANBE" which is the first restaurant overseas of G-7 Group on February 27, 2014 (Thu) through their local group company G7 RETAIL MALAYSIA SDN. BHD.

G-7 RETAIL MALAYSIA, operating automotive and motorcycle businesses, newly expands to restaurant business with the opening of Ramen KANBE located in the shopping center next to Empire Hotel in Damansara, Petaling Jaya.

Recently Japanese dishes have been well acknowledged in Malaysia and more inexpensive specialty eating places have been opening such as "Yakitori restaurant", "Ramen restaurant", and "Udon restaurant". G-7 HOLDINGS has seen a surge in opening ramen restaurant since 2010 with a boom. While most existing ramen restaurants serve ramen of pork bone soup taste, Ramen KANBE offers authentic soy sauce taste ramen, which uses light soup of chicken bone and custom Japanese soy sauce base.

To maintain this flavor non-Japanese staff takes 6-months training program developed before opening regarding how to make ramen or basic customer service skills at the training facilities in Japan, with the expectation to be a future local leader.

First G-7 HOLDINGS will focus on developing a popular local restaurant, then expand to license development in Malaysia or open ramen restaurants in other South East Asian countries.

G-7 HOLDINGS will conduct opening promotion until March 2, 2014 offering 50% off from regular Ramen price.
