ティッセンクルップが常州ハイテク産業開発区のエンジンプロジェクトに追加投資

【常州市（中国）2015年1月26日PRN=共同通信JBN】ThyssenKrupp （China）（ティッセンクルップ・チャイナ）は2015年1月19日、中国東部の江蘇省にある常州国家ハイテク産業開発区（CND）に電動パワーステアリング・システム工場を建設するため7500万ユーロ（約8500万米ドル）を追加投資した。同工場は2016年に生産に入る予定。常州市は現在、約200社の自動車産業分野の関連企業が拠点を置いている。

ティッセンクルップはCNDにあるエンジン・プラント、ThyssenKrupp Engine Systems （Changzhou）が傑出した業績を上げたため、追加投資として3033万ユーロ（約3420万米ドル）を決定している。同プラントは初期投資額3800万ユーロ（約4290万米ドル）で操業を開始した。今回プロジェクトの第2段階として建設される工場は、カムシャフトシリンダー・ヘッド・モジュールを生産する。

ドイツ産業界の巨人で世界のトップ500社に入っているThyssenKrupp AGの会長、ハインリヒ・ヒージンガー博士は「常州市当局とCNDは共に、この地区に工場を建設するという当社の決定に続いて極めて明確かつ透明性のある政策を実施するにあたり彼らのプロ精神を証明した」と語った。

CNDは1992年11月9日に設立され、常州市で最もダイナミックな経済成長を遂げており、常州市と外の世界を結ぶ主要な窓口になっている。CNDは設立以来、輸出志向の経済モデルにコミットしている。CNDは2014年、国際市場の複雑な展開にもかかわらず日本、ドイツ、米国を含む一連の国々と産業促進会議を持ち、各国代表との会談で自動車、自動車部品、ヘルスケア、新素材、航空機分野などから投資を招請するのに大きな業績を上げた。

CND商務部ディレクターのチョウ・リジュン氏は「外国からの投資をさらに引きつけるためには、単に外国人投資家に快適を提供するだけでなく、彼らに効果的、専門的、かつ国際的サービスを提供できるわれわれの能力を示す必要がある。CNDへの外国からの投資に関する協議に入る前に、われわれは投資家が実際に必要としていることを分析し、投資家が最も関心を持っている事実に関する情報を収集する。投資家はわれわれがプレゼンテーションで示す情報に驚いていた」と述べた。

ThyssenKrupp Increases Investment in Engine Project at China's Changzhou National Hi-Tech District

On January 19, 2015, ThyssenKrupp (China) invested an additional 75 million

euros (approx. US$85 million) which will be used to build an automotive

electronic power steering (EPS) system facility in the Changzhou National

Hi-Tech District (CND), Eastern China's Jiangsu Province. The facility is

expected to go into production in 2016. Changzhou is now home to nearly 200

companies engaged in some aspect of the automotive sector.

Thyssenkrupp decided to make an additional investment of 30.33 million euros

(approx. US$34.2 million) in its CND-based engine facility, ThyssenKrupp Engine

Systems (Changzhou), following the outstanding performance of the plant. The

operation started with an initial investment of 38 million euros (approx.

US$42.9 million). The facility that will be built during the second phase of

the project will produce assembled camshaft cylinder head modules.

"Both the government of Changzhou and CND have demonstrated their

professionalism in the process of implementing a very clear and transparent

policy that was put in place by the local government for us, following our

decision to build a facility in the district," said Dr. Heinrich Hiesinger,

chairman of ThyssenKrupp AG, a German industry giant and one of the world's top

500 companies.

Established on November 9, 1992, CND is the biggest and most dynamic economic

growth point in Changzhou and serves as a major window of the city to the

outside world. CND has been committed to an export-oriented economic model

since its inception. In 2014, despite the complex landscape in the

international market, CND held industry promotion meetings in a number of

countries, including Japan, Germany and the U.S, and delivered strong

performance in terms of attracting investment from the automobile and

automotive parts, healthcare, new materials and aviation sectors in each of the

countries the delegation visited.

"To attract more foreign investment, we should not only make foreign investors

feel at home, but also demonstrate our ability to provide them with effective,

professional and international services," said Zhou Lijun, director of the

Bureau of Commerce at CND. "Before entering into negotiation concerning foreign

investments at CND, we analyze their actual requirements and collect

information that matters most to the investors. They were impressed with the

information we provided in our presentations."
