敦煌は、鳴沙山・酒泉景観区（5A級国立景観区）、風食景観ジオパーク（4A級景観区）、玉門関（ユネスコ世界遺産地区）といった著名な景観スポットの宝庫だ。

春節と提灯祭りの期間中に観光客は、敦煌市内の主要観光地である月牙泉や雷音寺、文化博物館・図書館などで開かれる社火（伝統的な漢文化の祭り）、提灯祭り、溶鉄花火、新年祝賀の祈りといった多くの民族的な祝賀行事を楽しむことができる。

観光客は2020年3月31日まで、以下のような特典を受けることができる。

＊景観地区の入場料が半額に

＊市内のホテルとレストランがすべて半額に

＊敦煌への空の便を利用した観光客は入域料が無料に

in the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations.
