Waseda, Peking and Korea U. students design museum exhibit on East Asian history
Students from Waseda, Peking and Korea University who are participating in the 2019 CAMPUS Asia Summer Intensive Program will be giving group presentations on the final product of their work, a proposal of an imaginary museum exhibit for a common understanding of East Asian history.
Differences in history recognition have long caused conflicts in East Asia. In this eight-day summer program, students will explore together how to deconstruct a pre-existing post-war history and construct new ones for reconciliation and conflict resolution among East Asian countries through interactive and participatory activities, such as facilitated discussions, group work and field visits in Tokyo and Izu, Shizuoka.
We invite all interested media representatives to attend the group presentations by the students held on the final day of the program and hear about the museum exhibits they design on the history and for the future of East Asia.
