On January 17th, the Waseda University Intercultural Communication Center (ICC) will hold a special concert with a visiting orchestra from Depauw University.

DePauw University is a private university from Greencastle, Indiana, and is one of Waseda's overseas partner schools. Founded in 1837, the school is a liberal arts college with around 2500 students. Having one of the first schools of music, it often offers free concerts performed by selected students. The orchestra which is visiting Japan this time has performed concerts not only in America but also in Europe and other parts of the world.

They will perform a special program for their visit to Japan, with Jazz and Pop music mixed in so even for the people who don't usually enjoy classical music will able to find something they like here. Moreover, the Tsugaru-jamisen Circle Mitsudomoe from Waseda University will show us a great shamisen performance for an opening act. We invite all interested journalists and media representatives to attend the event.
